The McIlwaine Park upgrade re-imagines the park’s relationship to the water, seamlessly connecting the Rhodes Community with the waters of Brays Bay. The completed project offers an immersive experience within the natural environment of Brays Bay. The foreshore activation project has also facilitated an ongoing role in enhancing the ecological health of the bay, promoting biodiversity to contribute to the overall health of the river ecosystem.
Congratulations to the City of Canada Bay for orchestrating a superb opening day for the Park on November 18th. Witnessing young and old exploring and embracing this new foreshore space was truly gratifying. We look forward to the next chapter of the rebirth of the Parramatta River.
